The Old Coach House
The conversion of the Rectory’s Victorian stable block has resulted in a spacious single storey property with comfort and style evident throughout. Enjoying excellent views over the Old Rectory’s newly planted fruit orchard to the surrounding farm land, The Old Coach House has high ceilings which add to the sense of spaciousness, whilst the log burner is there for those romantic winter evenings. Guests will find The Old Coach House a perfect hideaway for two.
Although the modern integral kitchen is fully equipped, if you’d rather take a break from the cooking, there are numerous country pubs/restaurants a short drive away and we are always happy to offer recommendations .

“We love the peace & quiet of this venue. It’s our 5th visit to The Old Rectory
& our 2nd stay at the Old Coach House. White snowdrops & yellow aconites
in full bloom with miniature blue irises are really lovely.”
Thelma & Stephen. Feb 2023
“We had a lovely peaceful stay. The dogs loved the garden. We were lucky to see a little deer in the orchard, he seemed quite settled looking through the fence. Hope to return sometime.”
Brian, Jeanette, George & Pickles, April 2023
“Another great holiday in this lovely cottage. Great weather despite the gloomy forecast- seems to have its own climate in the Waveney Valley. Great hosts.”
Barry & Mary, County Durham, July 2023
“3rd visit. Lovely & peaceful. Lots to see & do. Sutton Hoo, great walks, beautiful scenery, muntjac deer in the orchard, swimming at Covehithe and real ale in the Green Dragon in Bungay….”
Joe & Caroline, Preston, September2023
“This is our 6th or 7th visit (not sure which!). As before we have loved our time at Old Rectory Cottages- The view of the orchard, the peace & quiet and the excellent welcoming hosts. But this time it was even better!! We were delighted this time to sample Jeannie’s delicious home cooking. Choosing what to eat and having it brought to our cottage made us feel very spoilt.
“As before we have enjoyed visits to Earsham Street Café and the Fleece
Hotel. We also found Walberswick very pleasant during the “off season”.
We hope to be back before too long. Thanks Jeannie & Keith for a great
stay.”
Vida & David, Cambridge, September 2023
“Following our successful visit in 2022, we returned to this firework free zone again. This is such a peaceful area and the grounds are just heaven for our welsh springer spaniel. Very clean and comfortable and the views are to die for.”
Angie & Chris and Harri, November 2023
“Thank you Jeannie & Keith…This is our second visit having stayed here several years ago. Very happy to recommend to friends and family.”
