All meals are prepared wherever possible using fresh, local, seasonal products. As befits the country, meals are wholesome and hearty. Vegetarian options are also available.

Dog's Dinner Breaks

Sadly, we had to stop our Dog’s Dinner Breaks when Covid hit and in the aftermath.

Our Dog’s Dinner Breaks had been running for 13 years now and every year they become more popular, with guests from previous years the first to book. We have now decided to relaunch them — in the first instance with limited availability.

What’s the deal? 2 night’s accommodation in one of our cottages (breaks can be extended-please telephone to book). We provide local ingredients in your fridge to enable you to cook a hearty breakfast (free range eggs, sausages & bacon from free range pigs, fresh baked bread & homemade marmalade – it makes you feel hungry just thinking about it!) at a time that suits you.

Each evening we prepare a 2-course Dinner chosen from the menu (view sample menu) and serve it in your cottage and then afterwards we deal with the washing up. When you arrive, there will be a Welcome Pack containing tea, coffee, cake etc so you won’t have to go shopping during your break or load the car up (unless you have forgotten to bring a couple of bottles of wine with you!) Special diets catered for.

The total cost for the 2 night short break for two people is from £342 (seasonal supplement applies for certain dates) – no wonder they are so popular.
