Short Breaks
If you are looking for a ‘getaway from it all’ short break and some well deserved relaxation, time to read or explore then a break in one of our cottages is a must.
A stay at The Old Rectory has many advantages compared with a hotel break – you have a whole cottage to yourself, and you are able to enjoy the freedom & flexibility of meal times, no expensive wine lists, and high-quality accommodation at an affordable price.
Although you can be assured of peace and tranquility we are lucky to live in an area with so much to do during your stay if you want to explore – there is always plenty in the area to see and do. In addition, Bungay and the surrounding area has lots of one-off events whether it is one of the regular Street Markets, The Fisher Theatre or one of the many Festivals or Fairs
We normally offer short breaks from the beginning of November to the end of February, but it is always worthwhile telephoning us or looking at our website if you are arranging a last-minute break. The minimum stay is 2 nights and you can start your break any day of the week.
Bungay is less than 2½ hours drive from London, and easily accessible from Essex, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Sussex & the Midlands -making a weekend break an easy option as you can leave after work on a Friday and not return till Sunday evening.
A stay at The Old Rectory is an ideal way to celebrate that special occasion whether it is a Birthday an Anniversary, Valentine’s Day or just an opportunity to take a break with that special person.
