Bungay Festival July 7th to 22nd
Created: Monday 2nd April 2012 12:58PM
For 2 weeks in July-this year from July 7th to the 22nd, Bungay will once again be showcasing to residents and visitors alike the rich heritage, culture & range of activities that our town offers. For some twenty five years Bungay has been holding an annual Festival – not unusual, but what is unique about our Festival is that it is not dedicated solely to Art, Music, Literature, Sport or Food but rather a celebration of all the diverse activities the many town organisations enjoy and the architecture that acts as a backdrop to these activities
The full programme of events will appear on this website in due course, but events that have already been announced include a Antiques Street market, the Bungay Beehive Day and a Marquee housing local artisans displaying their skills. There will also be 2 ale trails where beers from local breweries will be on offer at pubs in the town and surrounding villages
The highlight of this year’s Festival will be a performance from the Romford Drum & Trumpet Corps
The youth band, has performed throughout the UK, Europe and America and at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Wembley and Twickenham Stadiums and St Paul's Cathedral. It has had the honour of performing in the presence of every living member of the Royal Family including a performance at Buckingham Palace.
